Unilateral Limb Enlargement

Introduction Unilateral limb enlargement (ULE) is a challenging diagnostic and management problem. Treatment options are often complex and are dependent upon accurately determining the correct aetiology for each individual case. Although the enlargement may be mild and may pass unrecognised, it can attain a tragically distorting and grotesque dimension, leading to significant functional, cosmetic, and psychological complications. The complex nature of this problem, combined with the rarity in presentation, has led to inconsistencies in management that need to be addressed.
